Marketing Photo for Sebewaing Beer
Mark W. Rummel posted this photo on August 19, 2013 in the Facebook Group “You know you are from Sebewaing, MI when …”. He said “Another photo from the Frank and Joan Hofmeister collection – a 1953 story / ad about our favorite, Sebewaing Beer. They were selling the brown cans, old pheasant label regular Sebewaing Beer plus Sport Beer at that time.
Also, Art Mast is shown as the President and General Manager. He also had Mast Photo Studio, and took so many of these early CBWing photos from about 1910 to 1960 or so.”
Here are the comments from the post:
Doug Rook Adjuncts of corn flakes. That’s how some guys must have justified having a beer for breakfast, eh?
Mark W Rummel Yep. Adjuncts of Corn Flakes along with Sprouted Barley DOES sound delicious, doesn’t it (or don’t they) ??
Doug Rook It is amazing how many nutrients are released when a grain is sprouted. It’s hard to believe but Sebewaing Beer was actually a health beverage!
Mike Seibel They’re not just for breakfast anymore.
Thank you to Mark W. Rummel for posting the photo and all of those who took the time to comment in Facebook.
I found the full marketing page and thought I would post it here for reference.
