Our loving husband, father,grandfather and great grandfather passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the university of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 83 years. The son of the late Herman and Ida (Haag) Bolzman was born October 25, 1932 in Sebewaing, Michigan. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was employed at Sebewaing Brewing Co. as a Driver/Salesman and retired from Aflac. Mr. Bolzman enjoyed sports, hunting, mowing lawns, playing cards but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Post #18. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. While he was in the Army he was a member of the NATO rifle team and the team won many awards.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife the former Ruth V. Armbruster whom he married July 10, 1953, his children and their spouses; Sandy and Doug Griffith, Carol Campbell, Jeff and Sondra Bolzman, Bob Bolzman, Doug and Deborah Bolzman, fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; Annabelle and Irene Bolzman, Ted and Dixie Armbruster, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Howard, Vern, Maurice and Floyd, his sisters; Aldine, Helen, Alice and Edna. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of the S.I.C.U. unit at the University of Michigan Hospital for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during his time of need.

Funeral and Committal Services will take place Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. The Bay County Veterans Council will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. to perform Military Honors. Mr. Bolzman will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Faith Lutheran Church.

Thede John 2Age 72 years, died Tuesday morning, November 23, 2004 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born December 19, 1931 in Bay City, son of the late Otto H. and Florence E. (Liken) Thede.

He was married to Verna E. Diebel April 14, 1952 in Sebewaing. She preceded him in death on September 24, 1989.

Jack had been employed at the Sebewaing Brewing Company, the Michigan Sugar Company in Sebewaing and at Bay City Chevrolet for 28 years before retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Sebewaing V .F .W. Post #4115 and Sebewaing American Legion Post #293, the National Turkey Federation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are 3 daughters and husbands, Sandra E.(Tim) Irion, Sebewaing; Kathie L.(Rodney) Kuhl, Chesaning; Patti A. (Steve) Gremel, and daughter-in-Iaw, Donna L. (Bach) Thede, all of Bay Port; 12 grandchildren; also one brother and sister-in-law, William B. (Karen) Thede, Harbor Beach; 3 nephews, 2 nieces; also special friend, Mabel Herman, Sebewaing.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Thede July 8, 2004.

The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Daniel Hahn will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

There will be a military graveside committal service held at the cemetery under the auspices of the Sebewaing V .F .W. Post #4115 and the Sebewaing American Legion Post #293.

Past Obituary for Willard W. Heiman December 2, 1916 – October 14, 2005

Willard W. Heiman, 88, of Sebewaing, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2005, at his home.   He was born December 2, 1916 in Winsor Township, son of the late John and Flossie (Gregor) Heiman.

He was united in marriage to Alice M. Hoffman on July 28, 1941 in Napoleon, Ohio. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2002.

Willard had been employed on various farms in the Sebewaing area and then operated the Sebewaing hatchery. Later, he was a truck driver for the Sebewaing Brewing Company and then became a self-employed milk hauler for many years before retiring in 1982.   He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.   He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are one daughter, Lois and her husband, Thomas Dutcher, of Burton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas and Catherine Dutcher, Kellie Dutcher, Daniel and Nikki Dutcher; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Matthew, and Avery; two sisters and their spouses, Millie and Walt Rosenthal, Florence and Clarence Otto, all of Pigeon; two brothers and their spouses, Raymond and Lois Heiman, of Dearborn, and J.C. and Pat Heiman, of Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, James Heiman; two sisters, Gladys Stover and Winona Fritz.   The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Hahn will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Willard will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
