Brian K. Schwartz posted this photo on December 14 2011 and on January 13, 2012 in the Facebook Group “You know you are from Sebewaing, MI when …”. This picture hangs in his Dad’s shop.
Here are the comments from both posts:
I am imagining it in color. Those pheasants were so beautiful! Great photos.
Thanks Lori.
when i was is high school I helped Al Geath deliver beer in one of these trucks to area bars…..I remember the Bach Bar as we usually had lunch there…..I was not old enough so had to duck down in the truck whenever we saw a cop.
Where did he get these pics??
Believe it or not, on EBay. They were rolled at one time.
Does anyone know… did Sam Lupp paint the beer trucks? I remember that Hilb Bergman of Bergman Trucking owned (or leased) the trucks for Sebewaing Brewing Co.
bet he did mark…..he did a bunch of neat stuff all over sebewaing….and if i remember right sam was left handed too…..seems to me you’re lefty too mark….
Wow, John, you have a great memory! I’m a lefty. Lots of artists are left-handed — I think Sam was, too. I’m not very arty. We used to watch Sam paint signs at his house… he was very talented.
Wouldn’t we like to see some of those trucks driving around town today??
The door to one of those trucks is hanging up at Shaggy J’s in Pigeon!! I think it’d be great if we could bring the brewery back.
Thank you to Brian K. Schwartz for posting the photo and all of those who took the time to comment in Facebook.
