Scott M. Thede posted this photo on October 22, 2013 in the Facebook Group “You know you are from Sebewaing, MI when …”.  He said “I have several checks from the brewery with my grandfather, grandmother and father. Here is one of those checks.”

The Michigan Brewery was formerly the Sebewaing Brewery from 1933-1964.  It closed the first time in the spring of 1965.  It reopened under the more popular name of Sebewaing Brewing Company in June 1965.  It would not last and again closed for good in June 1966.
