Geyer’s Brothers Brewing Company Purchases Sebewaing Brewing Equipment
In 1966, Geyer’s Brothers Brewing Company purchased $39,000 of equipment from the closed Sebewaing Brewing Company. A pasteurizer, bottle washer, and bottle filler. With this new equipment, their weekly production could be done in one-third the time. The Sebewaing Brewing Company purchased and added this equipment in 1958. 
The pasteurizer and bottle washer were massive pieces of equipment requiring a semi flatbed for hauling.
they also bought the canning equipment piece which came in two halves …..the one 1/2 of the canning equipment was owned by crown cork and seal–”the filler” and the other 1/2 was the ”can sealer”, owned by the brewery they were supplying …hence a monopoly for crown cork and seal co….if the brewery stopped using crown cork and seal cans ..they would take back the copy- writted ”filler” and the ”sealer” was left with the brewery (GEYERS)…more of the story to come if interesed…..P.S.
